SLIDELUCK Benefit for RED HOOK

Slideluck Benefit for Red Hook
My work will be featured on Tuesday from 6-10om, November 20, at White Box Gallery in the Lower East Side as part of the Slideluck Benefit for the community of Red Hook, Brooklyn. In collaboration with a number of organizations and companies to get Red Hook back on its feet. There will be a $10-$20 required donation and raffle tickets available for all kinds of amazing prizes. Space is limited, see invitation here and secure your spot by making a donation of at least $10 here.

Two slideshows will be presented at this event. First, re-project the work from SLIDELUCK Red Hook, which featured artists from the neighborhood in June 2011:

Alan Chin * Alessandra Olanow * Bettina Magi * Coke Wisdom O’Neal * Crystal Dyer * David Trimble * Facade/Fasad * Hannah Mandel * Heather Phelps-Lipton * Jinah Kim * Joey Frank * John Gordon Gauld * Laura Arena * Mark Ovaska & Andrew Litchenstein * Peter Van Agtmael * Red Hook Criterium * Wilmott Kidd

Following this, we will present a slideshow of Hurricane Sandy coverage by some of the best photojournalists working today, including:

Alan Chin * Benjamin Lowy * Kirsten Luce * Michael Christopher Brown * Mario Tama * Peter Van Agtmael

Beer will be lovingly provided by Brooklyn Brewery, sparkles by Société Perrier, and tequila cocktails by Tanteo! Raffle tickets will be available for $5 each (or blocks of 10, 20, 40, etc.) and there will be a wide array of amazing prizes from our growing list of partners!

The proceeds from this event will go to Restore Red Hook, which focuses on the small businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy and the Red Hook Initiative, which empowers youth in the Red Hook Houses – Brooklyn’s largest public housing development.
